Design Engineer

You will be responsible for the development of fault tolerant home server/gateway, with emphasis on architecture design, self-diagnosis & self-repair. The duties include the following: - suggest fundamental improvements in the architecture design of the home server/gateway that permit a reliable, fault tolerant system - detect failure in the operation and assess damages accordingly - develop fault recovery methods, including forward error recovery (correcting the damaged state), backward error recovery (restoring the system to a known safe state), and repairing the fault - communicate with developers, scientists, and project leaders to achieve optimum fault tolerant home server/gateway architecture design. A BS in Computer Science/Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years (or equivalent) experience in designing fault tolerant home server/gateway architecture required. Excellent communications skills, both oral and written also required. Masters degree a plus.
